Disney+ have released the first trailer of “Home Sweet Home Alone”; the studio’s reboot of the 1990s Christmastime classic “Home Alone,” according to New York Post. The 1:56-minute-long trailer sees 10yo Max Mercer accidently left alone by his family when they depart for vacation.
Also seen in the trailer are dimwitted bandits Jeff and Pam who attempt to infiltrate Max’s home following his family’s departure. The film stars Archie Yates as Max Mercer, Rob Delaney as Jeff, Ellie Kemper as Pam, Aisling Bea as Carl among others.
The trailer suggests that the film will be a faithful remake of the original that starred Macaulay Culkin. After all, Yates’ character can be seen munching on the snacks and taking down the robbers with nerf guns as well as other innovative traps.
Perhaps the biggest reveal from the trailer is a cameo by Devin Ratray, who played Kevin’s big bro Buzz in the original. From the looks of it, Ratray will be portraying a cop. He also wears a badge that says “McAllister.”
Directed by Dan Mazer and written by Streeter Seidell and Mikey Day “Home Sweet Home Alone” is slated for release on November 12 on Disney+. Watch the official trailer right here.
