Ozzy Osbourne’s Guitarist Tells All About Epic Prank He Played On The Prince Of Darkness

After having trouble keeping his teeth in his mouth while meeting with Vince McMahon and a massive spinal surgery, it’s good to hear some lighter news on Ozzy Osbourne. Zakk Wylde, Ozzy’s long-time guitarist talked about an epic prank he pulled on The Prince of Darkness in an interview with Metal Hammer.

While working on the classic album No More Tears, Wylde recalled a tale of the band and crew conspiring to take revenge on Ozzy after a series of disgusting flatulence.

“Ozzy had these stink bombs he just kept letting off. You could use them to clear buildings, not rooms. Ozzy would be there at the back, ‘Sorry…’ and we’d be gagging, ‘Ozzy what the FUCK?!’ They were worried he wouldn’t be able to finish the record.

Believing something had to be done to stop the stench being brough upon them by the Ozzman, Wylde and drummer Randy Castillo came up with their own form of revenge. They were going to take the farts and up the ante so that Ozzy would really get the point.

 “Every day Oz had this couch that he’d sit on to watch World War 2 videos or whatever, So I take my enormous shit in this bag and cut a tiny little hole, sliding it in until it’s properly hidden up the back of the couch. Meanwhile, Randy [Castillo] goes and takes a shit in some Tupperware, which he then stores in the fridge for later. I knew we had to get him back… so I took a shit in a bag.”

Ozzy’s reaction was about what one would expect. As Wylde put it, he took the disgusting prank in stride.
