Young Thug & Gunna Celebrate Album Release By Smashing A Rolls-Royce

Young Thug and Gunna are no strangers to elaborate celebrations. Gunna once gifted Thug a pink Bentley for his birthday. It’s no surprise, then, that the rappers really threw down to celebrate Thug’s latest release, ‘P*NK’.

At the release party at Delilah in West Hollywood, Thug, Gunna, and several others from the YSL Records crew were caught on camera smashing the expensive luxury vehicle. Nobody knows exactly why they chose to celebrate in this manner, but it fits their brand.

Young Thug, who Elton John once said was a better freestyle rapper than Eminem, went full punk rock with his compadres. Every window of the Rolls was smashed. There were dents everywhere. Gunna climbed up on top of the car and, after hitting it with a baseball bat, tried kicking in the windshield.

While this was a strange way to promote a new album, it’s not unusual when you think about the context of popular music. Rock stars ranging from Jimmi Hendrix to Kurt Cobain have been known to enthusiastically cause wanton destruction of expensive things.

The latest from the Atlanta rapper, ‘P*NK’, drops on Friday. Unfortunately, there is no metric which measures the impact of smashing an expensive vehicle on album sales.

Check out some of the carnage as it was posted on social media below. It looks like they’re clearly trying to set the tone for Young Thug’s new LP as an aggressive one.
