WWE Hall of Famer and current Hollywood star Dave Bautista is a sought after actor in the business. Batista made a name for himself by portraying the role of Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy film franchise. Batista always wanted a movie based on his character but it never came to fruition, which Marvel didn’t really find any need in, much to Batista’s dismay.
Bautista previously revealed that he was completely broke before nabbing the role of Drax in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy film franchise, as he had issues with tax.
Bautista starred in ‘Dune’ as he portrayed the role of Glossu Rabban and it seems this role held a lot of significance for him. While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Bautista revealed that director Denis Villeneuve offering him a role in ‘Dune’ validated his decision to leave pro wrestling.
”I left a career in professional wrestling to take a chance on myself because I fell in love with acting. It took me forever to get a job. o when someone like Denis calls me and says ‘I really want you to play this part,’ that validates the sacrifice and the chance I took on myself.”
Dave Bautista’s acting career is certainly flourishing as he previously made it clear he wants to portray a variety of roles in his career.
