Marvel Makes Insane Offer For Batista To Stay As Drax The Destroyer

Dave Bautista is certainly in demand now as an actor in Hollywood and it is thanks to him portraying the role of Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy film franchise. Batista always wanted a movie based on his character but Marvel didn’t really find any need for it and that simply frustrated Bautista. The third Guardians of the Galaxy movie will see Big Dave Bautista leave the franchise, but Disney and Marvel do not want to lose him.

Bautista has already made it clear that he is done playing Drax, mostly due to the fact that he simply isn’t comfortable being shirtless anymore in the films. He was also tired of Drax as a character and was happy about leaving the role after Guardians Of The Galaxy 3.

According to Giant Freaking Robot, Marvel is not quite ready to let go of Dave Bautista. While Bautista no longer has any interest, Marvel is determined to keep him by any means necessary.

Those attempts include offering him millions of dollars just so that he can still portray Drax in future films. It was not said just how many millions were actually offered, but it was said to be a lot.

It is also unlikely they will recast Drax either from the looks of it, but Batista did hint that was likely. It remains to be seen if Dave Bautista truly will cut all ties with the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 or not. It might be hard to turn down that kind of money and they can always give him abs with CGI.
