Dr. Dre has fans waiting for a long time for new music. He recently said that he’s going to release new music this year. The news broke and his fans immediately paid attention. Now we have an actual timeline of possible upcoming releases that also includes Snoop Dogg and a drop from supergroup Mt. Westmore.
According to an Instagram post from DJ Battlecat, we are going to see Dr. Dre release his much-awaited next solo album before the end of 2021. Battlecat’s post also teased a potential timeline for the “Aftermath Takeover” which will kick off with a new Snoop Dogg album on November 12. We will then see a Dr. Dre release in December.
“P.S.A FROM twitter hmm. YIKES. JUST HIT THE PRESS FROM TWITTER POST. THOUGHT I GIVE YOU WEST COAST HATTERS A GLOBLE WARNING THE ROOF IS ON FIRE. MF LOL SHOW TIME. DONT QUOTE ME IT JUST SOUND SO GOOD TO ME LOL.”
The timeline also includes the date of the Super Bowl performance, a Kendrick Lamar follow-up album, Xzibit’s King Maker, and a release from Mt. Westmore. That supergroup includes Snoop Dogg, E-40, Too Short, and Ice Cube. Those four got a little performance time in at a Triller pay-per-view a few months back, and it appears they are ready to do it big with a new album.
Some exciting things seem to be in store for rap fans. Now we will have to wait and see if those pioneers of music break new ground once again in 2021.
