A high school football game in Alabama made headlines for all the wrong reasons recently. The game ended in tragedy after a gunman opened fire during the game, resulting in four people getting shot. Two of those victims were minors.
According to a report from TMZ, from Williamson High School competed against rival Vigor High School at the Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. Suddenly, gunfire could be heard through the stadium, just before 10 PM.
Out of the four people shot, two of them were minors and it was said that one of them is in critical condition. It is not known where exactly the shots came from but the shooter was not on the field or in the stands.
As seen in the video, the players dropped to the ground and people in the stands fled for their lives. The shooter was not caught either and it is not known whether police have any leads or not yet. Unfortunately, this is the latest shooting recently and not the first incident at a high school football game either.
Sadly, this kind of event is growing far too common. Our thoughts are with everyone involved in this traumatic event from everyone here at Thirsty.
