Lil Nas X is currently one of the most highly-discussed rappers in the music industry, but not all of it is for reasons he would like. His latest “MONTERO (Call My By Your Name)” music video made him a huge subject of controversy as he could be seen giving a lap dance to Lucifer in the video. It seems he decided to respond to backlash after a recent Spotify report.

A recent Spotify report stated that Doja Cat and Lil Nas X surpassed Drake in terms of monthly listeners. Due to the fact that Drake has a very dedicated Fanbase, many fans were upset at this new.

In fact, one fan stated that the current era is ‘the worst era of music ever.’ Lil Nas X saw this fan’s tweet and then decided to reply to it. The rapper made it clear that people aren’t forced to listen to those artists that they don’t want to.

“It’s crazy how every single generation says this when a new era of music approaches. like it’s millions of artists out, nobody forcing y’all to listen to anyone.”

There is no doubt that Lil Nas X will continue to have haters and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. Regardless, the rapper will carry on doing what he wants to despite what others say.
