Blake Lively Pokes Fun At Ryan Reynolds’ Sabbatical From Movie Making

Ryan Reynolds surprised fans when he announced a break from movie making. He did not reveal how long this leave of absence will be, but the Employee Of The Month star is apparently taking a break from making movies. This brought a reaction from all over.

Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds are well known for poking fun at each other. Recently, Reynolds took to Instagram to share his feelings about the wrap of his movie “Spirited.” In the post, Reynolds also stated that working on the “challenging” project had made him reflect upon taking a break from making movies.

Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists.

Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively was quick to turn around the tone of the heartfelt post with a witty comment. In the comment, Lively noted that “Michael Caine did it first,” referring to Caine’s own sabbatical from making movies.

Fans of Michael Caine know that the legendary actor has not appeared in any movies for over two years, largely on account of health issues pertaining to his spine. However, recently Caine took to Twitter to remind his fans that he has not yet retired. He is simply waiting for the right part to come along.

Caine also joked about how he’s “spent over 50 years getting up at 6 a.m. to make movies” and that he’s “not getting rid of [his] alarm clock.” He clarified that his sabbatical has been due to nobody making movies that he wants to do.
