Jay-Z is regarded as one of the most legendary rappers in the Hip-Hop world. On top of his musical prowess, Hov is also a smart businessman and is worth over a billion dollars for good reason. He also realizes that people love to gamble. It seems he is set to sell a historic house as well.
According to TMZ, Jay-Z and Beyoncè will be selling their New Orleans mansion. It is the same mansion that caught fire earlier this year. They are listing the 1925 mansion, asking for $4,450,000.
The 13,292 square foot pad has 7-bedrooms, 8-bathrooms and was originally a Presbyterian church. It was eventually changed so that events could be hosted there. It’s located in NOLA’s Historic Garden District.
The mansion has hosted weddings, salons and major recording stars and corporate executives. The 3-story building with 26-foot ceilings features Spanish baroque architecture. On top of that, the building is divided into one main residence with 3 apartments that are each approximately 1,000-square-feet.
The listing is taking place almost three months after the mansion caught on fire. The blaze lasted over 2 hours, and it was classified as simple arson. We will have to wait and see who will end up owning this luxurious mansion.
