Jorge Masvidal Was A Bigger Draw For AEW Than Mike Tyson

Jorge Masvidal is one of the most established MMA fighters in UFC and he also has a penchant for riling up people with his comments. He is also highly opinionated and never afraid to speak his mind. It seems Masvidal has proven to be a huge draw in AEW.

For the past few months, Jorge Masvidal has been appearing on AEW television as part of Dan Lambert’s American Top Team. He also decimated Chris Jericho on AEW Rampage last month.

While speaking to Busted Open Radio, AEW President Tony Khan claimed that Jorge Masvidal has given AEW more mainstream attention than even Mike Tyson did. This is despite the fact that Tyson appeared on AEW television a good few times.

“I think it’s going to be very interesting and also we’re going to get lots of mainstream attention. The last time Masvidal showed up in AEW, he hit Jericho with that flying knee. That is the most press we’ve ever gotten in combat sports. Even when Mike Tyson was here, we got more press with Masvidal hitting the flying knee. That should put a lot of eyeballs on that situation tonight too.”

Scorpio Sky previously stated that Jorge Masvidal has what it takes to be a pro wrestler. We will have to wait and see if Jorge Masvidal will ever decide to become a professional wrestler in the future or not.
