Madonna’s Daughter Lourdes Leone Claims She Receives No Handouts From Her Mother

Lourdes Leon leads a pretty interesting life as the daughter of legendary singer Madonna. The 24-year-old recently opened up on what life is like with a megastar as a parent.

Lourdes revealed a lot about Madonna’s parenting style. While the Like a Virgin star is worth hundreds of millions, Lourdes and her siblings don’t get any handouts from their famous mom.

Lourdes spoke to Madonna’s long-time friend Debi Mazar recently in Interview Magazine. She not only revealed the fact that Madonna isn’t a fan of handouts, but also went to far as to call her mother a control freak.

“My mom is such a control freak, and she has controlled me my whole life. I needed to be completely independent from her as soon as I graduated high school.”

Lourdes Leon currently works as a model. She said that she feels a great sense of achievement and independence without the expected handouts from Madonna. She even paid her own way through college.

The famous daughter said that she thinks her mother saw how other famous people spoiled their kids with lavish lifestyles. Lourdes said Madonna didn’t want to raise her children that way. Lourdes has embraced it and is now finding her own path in life.
