The Expendables franchise remains one of the most talked-about action franchises thanks to its ensemble cast and power trip level of action sequences. The fourth film in the franchise was already confirmed to be a reality. It seems Stallone wants Tyson Fury in the next film.
Sylvester Stallone, Randy Couture, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren are all returning to reprise their previous roles. As reported earlier, filming for the fourth instalment was said to begin in October.
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder duked it out on October 9th at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. For many fans, the boxing match surpassed all expectations as it was a heavy-hitting affair as both boxers gave it their all in order to win the match.
Wilder certainly impressed fans for lasting as long as he did with Tyson Fury, managing to show grit and determination in the face of adversity. In the end, Fury knocked Wilder out in the 11th round and emerged victorious.
While speaking in a video alongside strongman Eddie Hall, Sylvester Stallone gave huge props to Tyson Fury for his win over Deontay Wilder. Stallone then stated that he believes Fury has a great career in movies and offered him a role in the next Expendables film.
“You’re amazing, seriously. That’s the fight of the century and it couldn’t happen to a better guy. I was talking to Eddie [Hall] about, he [Deontay Wilder] had a certain plan for you, to hit you [in the body]. And just like all bad plans, it went out of the window. Just fantastic. Great theatre! By the way, I think you’ve got a fantastic career in movies, so the next Expendables, done deal! Keep punching.”
Now that the trilogy between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder had a definitive end, it remains to be seen what is next in store for both competitors. We also wonder if Tyson Fury truly will bag a role in the next Expendables film or not.
