Harry Styles Joins Marvel Cinematic Universe

Harry Styles fans thought the One Direction singer’s star couldn’t shine any brighter. Styles has proven them wrong, reportedly landing a major role in an upcoming Marvel movie.

Styles will play the brother of intergalactic super villain Thanos. The Eros character will make his big screen debut in the upcoming Eternals film.

In the Marvel comic universe, Eros is less a destroyer of galaxies and more an annoying little brother. He’s said to be a mischievous womanizer. This stands in stark contrast to his big brother Thanos, who simply wants to bring destruction. The news was broken by Variety senior film writer Matt Donnelly via Twitter.

Styles was not at the red-carpet premiere event for the film. Harry is currently performing around the United States as part of his Love On Tour excursion.

This big news comes on the heels of some bad news for Marvel fans. Disney recently announced that several MCU movies had been delayed. Some of them will be delayed as far back as 2023.

Harry Styles tour of the U.S. will continue through the end of November. He’s joined on the tour by former Rilo Kiley singer Jenny Lewis as his support act. Styles’ previous acting experience includes some television cameos as himself and a brief appearance on Dunkirk.
