Kanye West continues his string of bizarre behavior. Ye’s legal name change and new hairstyle had fans buzzing about what might come next. The truth is even stranger than the most far-out fiction.
Page Six recently spoke to Cohen after sources spotted the rapper and former Donald Trump personal fixer Michael Cohen having a cup of coffee on New York City’s Upper East Side. During the meeting, Kanye was seen wearing a bizarre mask. The two have met before. Kanye was not wearing the mask during their first meeting.
“The purpose [of the mask] was so that people would not recognize him … the first 10 minutes we sat down, he was mobbed by people … who wanted photos, and to say hello. So he put on this mask to give him some anonymity, which interestingly enough, did not really work.”
Cohen did note the irony that Kanye wore the mask for privacy but was immediately spotted. A source said that the two were talking about real estate. This was not the first time Kanye wore an eerie mask.
Kanye West has previously worn different face coverings, but none this odd. It may also be related to a business move that West recently made. In October 2021, Kanye filed for a trademark for sanitary masks used to prevent viral infection.
Is this all just Kanye’s weird way of doing some viral marketing? Perhaps Ye is looking to make back some of the nearly $40 million he lost when he sold his $60 million home to ex Kim Kardashian for only $23 million.
