Meek Mill is currently one of the most established rappers in the modern Hip-Hop world. On top of his great songs, Mill is also a loving and compassionate person, especially towards his family and also his friends. It seems his days as a rapper might be ending soon.
Meek Mill released his fifth studio album Expensive Pain on October 1st and it had features from Lil Baby, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Uzi Vert and others. After the release of the album, Meek Mill made it clear that he deserves the same level of respect as Kendrick Lamar.
While speaking to Complex, Meek Mill talked about his career in the Hip-Hop world. Meek Mill revealed that he is likely to retire as a rapper within the next few years. However, that doesn’t mean he will stop making music in general.
“I got like three or four more years left. That’s it! I’ve been rapping since I was 23. I can’t be performing forever. I think these the last years I’m going hard with music and then I’m gonna pursue other stuff.
At the same time, I’ll still make music. But going on tour, working on the albums for six months, being away from my family that long? I give up,” said Meek. “Let the young n***as come up next and see who moves me out the way.”
Meek Mill also noted that he wants to drop “four or five more albums” before he ends his rapping career for good. It remains to be seen whether Meek Mill will truly retire from rapping within five years or not.
