Jamie Spears was represented by the law firm, Holland & Knight during his conservatorship battle with his daughter, Britney Spears. According to Page Six, the law firm has now dropped Jamie Spears as a client.
The primary cause for this move seems to be that the firm expects Jamie to be sued by Britney’s lawyers once the guardianship is terminated. This has been corroborated by a source close to the situation.
Litigator Mathew Rosengart has asserted numerous times that he is going to investigate and sue Jamie. If/when he does, Jamie will need to defend and likely be adverse to parties in the conservatorship.
Reportedly, Jamie’s lead counsel, Vivian Lee Thoreen has recommended a new lawyer to him: Alex Weingarten, a partner in the litigation department at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
The source also claimed that Jamie is quite satisfied with the work done by H&K, and will remain in contact with Thoreen throughout this transitional period.
