Cardi B & Penn Badgely Share Unexpected Online Connection

Penn Badgely has made a strong reputation for himself as an actor as well as a lady-killing psychopath. As his character from the show “You” becomes highly obsessed with certain women to the point of lethality, it seems he’s found a new target.

Badgely was at an event in the Philippines where he was talking about the topic of social media while promoting ‘You‘ season 3. While he said that social media doesn’t have anything inherently wrong with it, he isn’t comfortable using it. That being said, he then took to appreciating how Cardi B deals with it.

[Cardi B] has an authentic relationship [with social media]. It’s like this incredibly nuanced place to be, and despite what many might judge as ‘antics’ and all this, I feel like she has an incredibly authentic relationship to [social media] and that’s why people like her so much.

Cardi B happened upon the mention, and lost her mind. It seems she doesn’t mind being Badgely’s obsession, as she took to Twitter announcing his she’s famous because Badgely knows of her. Badgely mention certainly brought out the fangirl in her.

The ‘You’ actor reacted to Cardi’s fangirling by simply uttering the letter “I-“, signifying that no reaction could reveal his shock. Regardless, it’s interesting to see how two different figures from pop-culture interact with each other.
