Kyrie Irving is among the many celebrities and sports stars who are refusing to get jabbed by the COVID-19 vaccine. Chris Brown has entered the debate, and surprisingly, he’s in support of Irving. The musician, who spoke against Kanye West on erasing his feature from DONDA, said that he applauds the NBA star on his stance.
Irving’s situation is getting progressively worse as the NBA star remains banned from the Brooklyn Nets‘ practice sessions. The lack of the vaccination requirement has costed Irving a lot of money, and still he is refusing to get vaccinated. Brown took to Twitter in order to share his opinion on the problem, stating:
I stand with my brother. WHOEVER DON’T LIKE IT … Go live your damn life. IT’S HIS CHOICE AND A DAMN GOOD ONE.
Chris Brown’s support for Irving is not surprising. The two have been pretty close, though the situation of Irving’s vaccination has escalated to unprecedented heights. While he is reportedly not anti-vaccination, the basketball player claims that it is not fair to get vaccinated in order to play.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver himself took to telling Irving to get vaccinated. However, if Irving doesn’t get the jab soon, it is uncertain whether he will be playing the games or not.
