Conor McGregor remains one of the most well known MMA fighters in the history of combat sports and his accolades over the years speak for themselves. The Notorious is also known to trash talk often, with varied results. It seems Dana White hasn’t spoken to him after McGregor’s recent incident.
While Conor McGregor has backed up his trash talks in the past, more often than not, they have also resulted in embarrassing defeats for him. McGregor also doesn’t hold any title in the UFC.
Recently, Conor McGregor was accused of punching Francesco Facchinetti, a celebrity DJ in Rome and breaking his nose in the process. The DJ then stated that he will be filing a lawsuit against McGregor. McGregor was even called white trash for the incident.
While speaking during the Contender Series press conference, UFC President Dana White talked about Conor McGregor’s alleged incident. White admitted that he hadn’t talked to Conor McGregor after the altercation came to light.
“We talked about it a little bit today at matchmaking. I don’t know enough about it. I honestly don’t know enough about it to comment on it. Obviously I’ve seen what you guys have – you guys have seen more than me, actually, to be honest with you. I haven’t talked to Conor. So, I don’t know what the truth is. I don’t know exactly what happened. So to comment on it, I really can’t.”
We will have to wait and see what shape Conor McGregor will be in once he returns to the Octagon. McGregor is expected to be out of action for a year as he is set on returning as soon as possible. In the meantime, we hope McGregor manages to not make headlines for all the wrong reasons.
