NBA YoungBoy and his legal team recently made a bid to keep the rapper out of prison after he was arrested on federal firearms charges. The rapper made some lavish requests, even after it was revealed that he was involved in a jailhouse scrap.

Prosecutors recently filed a motion against the defense team’s request to release YoungBoy on bond. In the request, they said that NBA paid a woman named Kyrie Oliver a ridiculous sum of money to act as a personal mentor.

The motion, obtained by Rolling Stone, describes the questionable use of these celebrity assistant services. Oliver offered the court to act as a custodian. The prosecution argued that the almost $600,000 in payments created a conflict of interest that made it impossible for her to act in a custodial manner.

The defense also called into question the prosecutions use of the rapper’s prior criminal history as a justification to continue detaining him. They said that he has paid his debt to society.

“After consolidating the redundancies, what remains is one arrest and conviction for misdemeanor simple battery, which does not involve a weapon and one conviction for aggravated assault with a weapon. For both cases, Mr. Gaulden satisfactorily completed probation.”

The court still has not ruled on the rapper’s request to be released on bond. Aside from his legal troubles, YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been in some personal quarrels. He’s not the most popular guy in the room in some circles.
