Ben Simmons has reached a crossroads in his career with the Philadelphia 76ers. The 25-year-old point guard has had his share of drama with the team lately.
Simmons was kicked out of practice by Philly coach Doc Rivers. Then, the team fined him $1.4 million after being suspended for refusing to participate in team activities.
Now, another Philadelphia athlete is offering Simmons some advice on how to win back the Philly faithful. Eagles center Jason Kelce kept it simple. If he wants to be liked, Simmons just needs to play better.
“Everybody can bitch and complain about how tough this city is to play in. Just play better, man. This city will love you. That is because a lack of accountability. If that got corrected, you fix some free throws…none of that is happening”
Simmons’ teammates have even been digging in against him recently. Joel Embiid recently said he no longer cared about his teammate.
Simmons had to sit out the October 20 season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans due to his suspension. His future with the team is uncertain.
