Jon Gruden has finally responded to the controversial email leak that led to his ouster as the Raiders head coach, telling an NFL insider there’s more to the story than what’s being told, according to NBC Sports.

Gruden, 58, is accused of making homophobic and sexist remarks. The issue came to light after the email allegedly containing his barrage of gender-biased statements was leaked online.

The former Las Vegas Raiders head coach told one of the producers of award winning sports journalist Andrea Kremer that “the truth will come out.” The producer had reached out to Gruden for his comments on Raiders’ principal owner, Mark Davis, for an HBO special.

“He’s still in Las Vegas. He said he’s letting the dust settle. He said, ‘People who know me know what I stand for for 58 years. I have a resume of 58 years.’ He said, ‘The truth will come out.'”

Moreover, Kremer said Gruden asked the producer whether the controversy could mean the end of his professional career. The former coach had released a statement following his ouster wherein he stated he didn’t mean to “hurt anyone.”
