Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s love story is considered epic by many and there was even a MTV reality show about it. It aired from 2002 to 2005 and showed the lives of the heavy metal singer and his family. Now, a movie will be made about the couple’s love life.
A biopic based on the couple will be made by Sony Pictures, and Oscar nominee Lee Hall will write the screenplay, Variety reports. Sharon Osbourne was thrilled to tell all about this upcoming move about her and the Prince of Darkness’ insane romantic journey.
“Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous but it was our undying love that kept us together. We’re thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our story to the screen.”
Sharon is producing the film along with her two children Jack and Aimee through their label Osbourne Media. Ozzy’s band Black Sabbath will be heard in the movie. Tunes from his solo career will also play a huge role.
The biopic will show how Ozzy and Sharon met and fell in love. The longtime couple married in 1982 after dating for three years. The untitled movie will be made by Polygram Entertainment which is the film and television arm of Universal Music Group.
The couple’s decades-long bond propelled them to the top of pop culture at one point due to their reality show, which was MTV’s most-watched a the time. The move will certainly have fans interested and it would be a good way to cement their love on the big screen.
