Alec Baldwin’s Producers Provide Counseling For Film’s Cast & Crew After Shocking Death

Alec Baldwin’s contributions to Hollywood needs no introductions as he has acted in several iconic shows and films over the past few decades. Baldwin has made the news for a variety of reasons over the years. However, his latest reason for getting into the news is certainly not a good one, to say the least.

As reported earlier, Alec Baldwin was confirmed to be the person who fired the prop gun that killed a female crew member, revealed to be the cinematographer. It took place on the sets of Baldwin’s upcoming western film, Rust.

It was said that two crew members were shot and injured on the Bonanza Creek Ranch set and taken to a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The woman would lose her life after succumbing to her injury. The woman in question was revealed to be Halyna Hutchins, the movie’s director of photography.

According to Mirror UK, Rust Movies Productions LLC confirmed they had stopped production of the film indefinitely. In addition to that, they revealed that they will be providing counselling to all the cast and crew members who were affected by the tragic incident.

“The entire cast and crew has been absolutely devastated by today’s tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Halyna’s family and loved ones,” a spokesperson said in a statement. We have halted production on the film for an undetermined period of time and are fully cooperating with the Santa Fe Police Department’s investigation.

“We will be providing counselling services to everyone connected to the film as we work to process this awful event.”

A Santa Fe Sheriff’s Department official also stated that Alec Baldwin was interrogated and as of now, no charges were meted out against him for the tragic incident.

“Mr. Baldwin was questioned by investigators and released. No arrests or charges have been filed. This investigation remains open and active. No charges have been filed in regard to this incident. Witnesses continue to be interviewed by detectives.”
