Sony has just jazzed up their 2023 release schedule a fair bit, creating both intrigue and excitement. Both these movies are expected to be Marvel properties. However, details are still quite sparse.
However this has not stopped fans from speculating. Sony owns the rights to about 900 Marvel characters, including, of course, Spider-Man. The tentative release dates for these mystery movies are June 23 and October 6.
It is extremely likely that one of these movies will be the Spider-Woman project that Olivia Wilde is believed to be working on. While there have not been any official confirmations from Sony, Wilde did share a tweet about working on a Marvel film, along with a spider emoji.
Other contenders for the release spot are a potential “Sinister Six” movie, which is something fans have been awaiting for ages. Alternatively, Sony could also be working on a follow up to “Into the Spider-Verse.”
Either way, 2023 seems to be a promising year for both Sony and for Marvel fans. Check out Wilde’s tweet below.
