Alec Baldwin is certainly one of the most well-known and established actors in all of Hollywood. Baldwin is known for his comedy roles but also does serious roles from time to time. He is currently in the news for all the wrong reasons after accidentally shooting a crew member.
As reported earlier, Alec Baldwin was confirmed to be the person who fired the prop gun that killed a female crew member, revealed to be the cinematographer. It took place on the sets of Baldwin’s upcoming western film, Rust.
It was said that two crew members were shot and injured on the Bonanza Creek Ranch set and taken to a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The woman would lose her life after succumbing to her injury. The woman in question was revealed to be Halyna Hutchins, the movie’s director of photography.
While speaking to The New York Post, ‘Rust’ actor John C. Ashton said that he wished “precautions” had been taken on set that could have prevented the tragic incident from taking place.
“It’s basically, it’s a terrible shame, I wish precautions would’ve been taken so that it didn’t happen. “But I don’t know what exactly did happen, the sheriff will tell, you know, so I can’t say, so I haven’t really thought about it all that much because I don’t have much to go on.”
Alec Baldwin already commented on the incident, stating that he was heartbroken. It was also reported that Alec Baldwin was told the gun prop was safe before the tragic accident.
