Gwyneth Paltrow Almost Died During Childbirth

Gwyneth Paltrow remains one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, but also a very controversial one. The COVID-19 pandemic caused a worldwide lockdown for many countries and affected several people and that includes Gwyneth Paltrow. It seems she almost died during childbirth.

Gwyneth Paltrow is also a doting and loving mother as she loves to show off her daughter Apple to her fans. The former Marvel actress also had a very harrowing experience when it came to giving birth to her daughter.

While speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast, the Goop founder opened up about the cesarean she had for her daughter Apple. Paltrow revealed that she almost died during childbirth.

My daughter was an emergency, it was crazy, we almost died. It was like not good.

Anyway, there’s a big scar across your body, and you’re like, ‘Oh wow, that didn’t used to be there.’ And it’s not that it’s bad or you want to judge it, but you’re just like, ‘Oh, my God.’

Gwyneth Paltrow then proceeded to criticize social media for placing unrealistic expectations on women to bounce back immediately after giving birth. Paltrow explained that’s not realistic whatsoever.

“Thank God there wasn’t Instagram when I had babies because now it’s like if I see someone, ‘Oh, I just gave birth two weeks ago and I have a completely washboard stomach,’ and I’m like, ‘Wow that’s not what I [looked like].’

And like great, more power to the lady with the washboard [abs], but that is totally the exception,” the “Sex, Love and Goop” creator continued, “and then now we’re being fed all of these other images of what we’re supposed to look like all the time — babies, no babies, whatever.”

Paltrow has another child named Moses, 15. She shares her children with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. She will continue to express her laugh for her children and fans are all for it as well. We are glad Paltrow lived to tell to tale as well.
