The Los Angeles Lakers won a hard earned victory in tonight’s game against the Spurs. The Lakers were playing without their key player, LeBron James, who was instead acting as an unofficial head coach.
There were initial concerns about the team’s performance in the absence of King James. The Lakers were also barely maintaining a lead in the first quarter. However, James pulled aside Malik Monk, to give him a few pointers.
The Lakers upped their game in the second quarter, taking a 48-42 lead against the Spurs. While the game was still quite a close one, fans did not mind the victory.
There have also been concerns about coach Frank Vogel, who has been criticized for his strange rotation ideas. In this game specifically, it seemed that putting Russ on the court with Rajon Rondo may have been a mistake,
The Lakers pulled through, and after a fantastic display by Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis, the team scored a win. Fans took to Twitter to celebrate this victory.
