T-Pain is certainly one of the most established rappers in the Hip-Hop world right now, being very influential in the industry as well. However, he isn’t without his flaws. He also isn’t a fan of the new generation of rappers.
T-Pain is also a very bizarre individual who is known for his love of pop culture and also memes. He famously has a tattoo of a 2012 Jackie Chan meme on his right hand as well.
Despite all that the rapper is also a very savvy businessman. T-Pain has partnered up with Twitch. This strengthened the connection between the music and live-streaming communities.
On top of that, T-Pain is hosting an exclusive listening session to release his new single “I’m Cool With That.” It was made in collaboration with the Twitch community and will be live on the “Powered by T-Pain” Twitch playlist.
Twitch VP and Head of Music Tracy Chan released a statement regarding Twitch partnering up with T-Pain. The VP explained how Twitch wants to help those making a living from music.
”Twitch has always been a creator-centric service, and we are consistently pioneering new ways in which musicians can live off their art. T-Pain is a shining example of a Twitch creator who is leveraging his community to curate his sound and give back—and he is inspiring other creators of all levels to do the same.”
Even before this deal, T-Pain was already a regular streamer on Twitch. He hosts several different shows and often listens to up-and-coming artists’ music live, offering his opinion on it. We will have to wait and see how beneficial this new partnership will be in the long run.
