Fetty Wap was set to perform at Rolling Loud New York on October 28. That, however, got cancelled as he was arrested by federal agents before the performance even happened.
The FBI took Fetty into their custody at New York’s Citi Field on Thursday. While specifics are not known, the charges are federal and related to drugs.
In an update, Fetty’s attorney, Navarro Gray told TMZ that the rapper is going to see the judge today and he hopes that it’s all just a big misunderstanding and the charges are dropped soon. Meanwhile, Rolling Loud says they had no knowledge beforehand of Fetty’s legal problems.
“We pray that this is all a big misunderstanding. He sees the judge today. Hoping he gets released so we can clear things up expeditiously.”
Fetty has stayed away from the limelight for the last few years. This year, particularly, hasn’t wasn’t great for him. His four-year-old daughter passed away over the summer and he got slammed by fans for exhibiting toxic masculinity.
Meanwhile, Rolling Loud music festival took place as planned. 50 Cent headlined on Thursday and DaBaby made a surprise appearance too. Fetty’s reps haven’t released any statements on the matter so far.
