French Montana came out with a new single “I Don’t Really Care” on Friday, October 29. The single builds up hype on the release of his upcoming studio album They Got Amnesia.

In the music video of the single, French Montana pays homage to several iconic music videos from the past. Some of the recreations include Childish Gambino’s “This is America,” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” He also dressed up as The Weeknd for the video.

The music video is directed by Edgar Esteves and French Montana. For “This is America,” Montana chose to pay homage to Childish Gambino’s shirtless scene from the original music video.

Eminem’s pre-battle scene in front of the bathroom mirror from “Lose Yourself” is also featured. Another song that’s referenced is Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” with the shoot-out scene.

Montana spammed his Twitter feed with “they got amnesia” posts ahead of the premiere of this music video. We now know what he was really referring to with those (at the time) cryptic posts. The album is going to release on November 12. You can watch the music video below.
