French Montana Puts Akon On Blast For Giving Him A Fake Watch

French Montana has faced ridicule after an insulting Twitter post went viral. He responded with some shade of his own. It was all over Squid Game, which has creeped into every pocket of popular culture.

The weird news continues, as now Montana is calling out Akon for gifting him a fake watch on his birthday. DJ Akademiks posted the story on Instagram.

“He had given me a Hublot so it wasn’t iced out. And you know, I like sh*t with diamonds on it, so I took it to my jeweler. I was like, ‘Yo, can you switch this for me? Akon gave it to me for my birthday.’ He looked at me and was like, ‘What you mean? Akon did not give you this, my guy.'”

After finding out from the jeweler that the bling was fake, French thought the whole thing was a prank. Either that, or Akon had made a mistake. Montana took the incident in stride and said he’s still waiting for a replacement.

Akon said he would follow up with the jeweler who sold him the watch. Perhaps the whole thing was a mistake after all. Apparently, French Montana is still waiting to find out.

“So I call him and said, ‘Kon, my jeweler said this is fake. Say it ain’t so.’ He was like, ‘What?! Let me call the jeweler.'”

While we still don’t know whether Akon got ripped off or tried to rip off French, it’s a strange topic to bring up publicly. It seems like Montana sincerely believes Akon didn’t know what was going on when he bought the watch. Akon’s mystery jeweler might have some explaining to do.
