R. Kelly Hires Bill Cosby’s Attorney To Help With Appeal

Bill Cosby was found guilty, but he has very good attorneys. Now Cosby is a free man after an appeal proved that his 5th amendment rights were infringed upon. R. Kelly is hoping for some of that same appeal magic.

According to XXL, R. Kelly has hired Bill Cosby’s attorney, Jennifer Bonjean. She filed paperwork this morning to join Kelly’s legal defense team. She will also lead the team.

Kelly was found guilty of racketeering and sex crimes. He is going to someone with a recent track record of overturning rulings. We will have to see if he gets off, but he’ll still have to pay his attorneys regardless.

R. Kelly’s music sales actually went through the roof after his conviction. He was also placed on suicide watch after that verdict came down. This is considered standard practice, and he is no longer being monitored in such fashion.
