Tom Holland says that he is not sure if he is going to have a future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Holland will appear next as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home in December. He said he treated the movie like the end of the Spider-Man franchise.
Holland revealed that he currently doesn’t have a contract for any more Spider-Man films after No Way Home. It’s going to be his last venture as the superhero as per the contract. Fans, however, speculate that Sony will continue to expand its own Marvel Spider-Man universe and Holland might still be able to don the red mask.
Tom Holland is more cautious than before to not reveal any details about the upcoming film. While speaking to Empire, Holland said that his last day filming the movie was bittersweet and explained why he can’t talk much about the future of the character.
“I honestly don’t know. It’s the first time since I got cast as Spider-Man that I don’t have a contract. And it’s… it’s just really difficult for me to talk about because there are so many things I’d love to talk about that would help me embellish what I’m trying to explain. But I can’t because it would just ruin the film.”
The first official trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home was revealed back in August. It shows Peter Parker teaming up with Doctor Strange. The dynamic between the two characters became one of the most talked-about subjects about the upcoming movie. The daring concept of the movie will certainly spark a lot of fan discussions.
