Cryptocurrency is all the rage and that means high profile interest is everywhere. Aaron Rodgers’ time with the Green Bay Packers has been interesting so far, especially after he refused to play for the team during the offseason. His deal is also quite unique.

The Green Bay QB knows how to show dedication. It took him a year to prepare for his Halloween costume this year and he pulled off a sick John Wick. He is also willing to invest and hold his bitcoin, and he has a lot of it coming his way.

Rodgers tweeted out to let fans know that a portion of his Packers’ paycheck is actually coming to him in the form of a digital currency.

I believe in Bitcoin & the future is bright. That’s why I’m teaming up with Cash App to take a portion of my salary in bitcoin today.

This seems like a partnership with CashApp and their cryptocurrency system. It is also innovative and Rodgers is the first pro athlete that we’ve heard about who is willing to take their paychecks via cryptocurrency. We’ll have to see if that trend picks up, because depending on when he gets paid those bitcoins might have already skyrocketed in value.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
