The Real Housewives series of reality shows remain one of the most popular and recognizable in the history of television. They have spanned multiple iterations in various states in the US. Now it seems their first international project has been announced.
According to E! Online, the Bravo franchise will now be expanding and breaking into the international territory from the looks of it. On Monday, Nov. 1, the network announced it has given a series greenlight to The Real Housewives of Dubai. The series is set to air next year.
The series format has been sold to several overseas markets. Despite that, this marks Bravo’s first original international edition. The upcoming series will be the 11th city in the Real Housewives franchise.
Andy Cohen made it clear that the upcoming series will feature all the hallmarks that fans have come to expect from a Bravo series. This includes a collection of women balancing relationships, careers and luxurious, high-end lifestyles.
“Everything’s bigger in Dubai, and I couldn’t be more excited to launch Bravo’s first international Housewives series in a city I’ve been fascinated by for years, with an outstanding group of friends as our guides.”
Cast members for The Real Housewives of Dubai have not been announced as of yet. It remains to be seen whether the show will turn out to be a huge success like the other versions or not.
