Charles Barkley has never initiated an Email and rightfully so. The NBA Hall of Famer has great advice for everyone who wishes not to be cancelled. Don’t send emails, because that tactic worked out brilliantly for him.
The 11-time NBA All Star is an all around great guy, sharing his wisdom wherever he goes. Barkley’s honesty and straight forward attitude is what makes him so likable.
On the latest episode of ‘The Steam Room‘ podcast with Ernie Johnson. Chuck Barkley confessed that he never initiates email threads. He went on to explain the reason behind his decision, apparently he sees emails as paper trail. Which is quite smart actually, to think about it… What do Hillary Clinton and John Gruden have in common? an email paper trail!
“I’ve never sent an email. I know how to respond, I don’t know how to do one. I don’t know how to initiate one. But I do, I can respond. I will admit that. To all you idiots, fools, and jackasses out there, it’s alright to talk bad about people,” Barkley said. “We all do it. But we don’t leave a paper trail. I talk bad about people the old-fashioned way – behind their back. I don’t put it in writing.”
Maybe all of us can learn a thing or two from the NBA champ. Like he said “we all do it,” everyone has talked bad about someone or something at some capacity. It’s just that putting those bad thoughts in writing, on social media, or in an email thread is a big NO for Barkley.
