Las Vegas Police Department confirmed that Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs was involved in the car crash that resulted in a fatality, Tuesday morning, Ruggs was driving under influence. He stayed on the scene and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Las Vegas police have issued a statement indicating that Ruggs will be charged with DUI resulting in death. Under Nevada law, DUI resulting in death is a Class B felony. Punishment includes two to twenty years in prison.
According to the statement obtained by TMZ, police investigation indicates the front of the Rugg’s Chevrolet Corvette collided with the rear of a Toyota Rav4.
The Toyota became engulfed in flames, and a “deceased victim” was found inside the Toyota by the Fire department. This is a terrible situation, indeed.
The Las Vegas Raiders player was taken to UMC hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and is recovering. You can check out the statement issued by LVMPD below.
