WWE is continuing their tradition of gifting championship pro sports clubs with custom title belts. An article on WWE.com gives fans a sneak peek at the championship the company will gift to the Atlanta Braves. The Braves won their first World Series in 26 years last night.
After a gutsy playoff performance that included pitcher Charlie Morton pitching on a broken leg, the Braves overcame the Houston Astros to become champions of Major League Baseball. They’re also letting Braves fans get in on the celebration.
“Plus, for the first time ever, fans can own the same WWE Championship Title with officially licensed Atlanta Braves World Series champions side plates, available exclusively at WWEShop.com!”
The Braves beat the Astros 7-0 in game 6 to capture the series. At least one Atlanta player is a WWE fan. Third baseman Austin Riley uses WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin‘s entrance music as his walk up song.
The side plates on the title pictured look very sharp. The Braves famous tomahawk logo contrasts nicely against a dark blue background. An inscription commemorates them as 2021 World Series Champions.
The Braves’ victory comes as a relief to many baseball fans, including Bryan Cranston. Baseball purists are thrilled to see the Astros fail after they were caught cheating during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Houston won the series at the height of the scandal in 2017 and have since become the target of baseball fans ire.
