Ashanti Celebrates Birthday In The Bahamas With Stunning Bikini Photo

Ashanti is doing it big for her 41st birthday. The singer posted an Instagram picture of her arrival for the big celebration as she stepped off a private jet. She was rocking a sexy white bikini top with sweatpants, a birthday sash, and a bouquet of flowers.

The photo was captioned “Landed,” as the singer descended the stairway off the plane shrouded in a purple feather boa on her shoulders. Her hot pink sandals finished off the casual party ensemble.

She also posted a couple of pictures in a steamy red dress. The long-sleeve stunner’s plummeting neckline went all the way to her belly button. The rest of the dress was held together with a knot at Ashanti’s waist.

It’s good to take a vacation once in a while. It’s great when you’re Ashanti. After having to deal with thirsty dudes always sliding into her DMs, she deserves a break and some time to relax.

Ashanti has been re-recording some older music. Ashanti was only 14 when she signed her first record deal. She wants her early work to better reflect her growth as an artist now that she has a better understanding of things. Taylor Swift has recently been undergoing a similar re-recording endeavor, but her releases have to do with publishing rights issues rather than artistic license.

Ashanti’s career launched to the stratosphere when she signed with Murder Inc. Records in 2002. Her feature on Fat Joe’s “What’s Luv” and the Ja Rule hit “Always On Time” made the singer a household name. She’s been rumored to be working on new music, but no announcements yet.
