Joe Exotic Says He Has Aggressive Prostate Cancer

Joe Exotic is nothing short of a polarizing figure in American popular culture. Currently serving time in prison for a murder-for-hire plot against fellow tiger nut Carole Baskin, the 58-year-old has revealed that he has prostate cancer. He says the prognosis doesn’t look good.

In a post to his Instagram, the disgraced zookeeper shared a tabloid-style graphic along with a message about his diagnosis. He says that Baskin will probably have a party to celebrate his diagnosis. Even behind prison and facing death, Joe Exotic is standing his ground against his rival.

“Everyone, It is with a sad face that I have to tell you the doctors called me in today to break the news that my prostate biopsy came back with an aggressive cancer, I am still waiting on the results from other test as well. Right now I don’t want anyone’s pity and I’m sure Carole Will have her own party over this! What I need is the world to be my voice to be released, they have the proof I DID NOT DO THIS! And there is no reason for the district attorney to drag this out, So I can go home and get treatment on my own or enjoy what life I have left with my loved ones! Say a prayer everyone & be my voice”

It is nearly impossible for one to fathom how Joe could be thinking of taking shots at Carole Baskin while being confronted directly with his own mortality. In his post, he said he was hoping to be sent home so that he can receive the proper treatment for his illness.

Exotic (real name Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage) was convicted in 2020 on two counts of murder for hire, eight counts of falsifying wildlife records under the Lacey Act, and nine counts of violations of the Endangered Species Act after killing five cats and selling tigers across state lines. His sentence requires him to serve a minimum of 17 and a half years.

Netflix recently dropped their trailer for Tiger King 2. The surprise hit of the 2020 pandemic lockdowns was all anybody could talk about for an entire summer. Joe has desperately tried through every avenue he can think of to secure his release from prison. Not even Donald Trump has taken Joe’s tiger bait, so we’ll see what the D.A. handling his case has to say.
