Lil Baby Hops On The NFT Bandwagon

NFTs, or non-fungible tokens have been gaining more and more popularity as of late, with even the hip-hop world getting in on the craze. The latest among these ranks is none other than Lil Baby.

After the likes of Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Torey Lanez, Lil Baby has now debuted his own NFT. The NFT in question is the rapper’s Twitter avatar, a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT, which is reportedly worth $150K.

Internet sleuths quickly figured out that the NFT was likely gifted to Lil Baby, since the OpenSea account used to purchase it was only recently created, and is not associated with any other NFTs.

Twitter user @mona_vinci also revealed that the NFT was transferred to Lil Baby from MoonPay, a cryptocurrency payment platform. The rapper recently changed his avatar to yet another Bored Ape, and gave a shoutout to MoonPay and Bored Ape Yacht Club.

While it is not yet clear what future plans Lil Baby regarding NFTs, it would not be surprisingly to see more and more celebrities dipping their toes into the world of NFTs and crypto. Check out Lil Baby’s tweet below.
