Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that. He also loves keeping himself in the best physical shape possible.
As reported earlier, Alec Baldwin was confirmed to be the person who fired the prop gun that killed a female crew member, revealed to be the cinematographer. It took place on the sets of Baldwin’s upcoming western film, Rust.
The Rock is also set to star in yet another blockbuster movie as he will be acting alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in the upcoming action-comedy film Red Notice. It was said that the film will be the most expensive ever produced by Netflix as well.
While speaking to Variety, The Rock talked about the tragic Alec Baldwin accident. The Rock made it clear that he will never use real guns on the set of Red Notice or any future films that he will do.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I can tell you, without an absence of clarity here, that any movie that we have moving forward with Seven Bucks Productions — any movie, any television show, or anything we do or produce — we won’t use real guns at all.
We’re going to switch over to rubber guns, and we’re going to take care of it in post. We’re not going to worry about the dollars; we won’t worry about what it costs.”
Halyna Hutchins’ tragic death has sent shockwaves across Hollywood. It has also brought upon a lot of changes as The Rock pledging to never use real guns is only just the beginning. We sincerely hope another tragic incident such as this never happens again.
