Cardi B and Penn Badgley are certified besties. The rapper and the actor both have expressed themselves as huge fans of one another time and time again. It was now time to take this friendship to another level, Joe Goldberg Style.

Penn Badgley plays a literature nerd turned serial killer on Netflix’s popular thriller “You” and the WAP rapper is obsessed with the show. Given that the pop icon recently bought a beautiful mansion in her hometown NYC, it would be rude if Badgley, a fellow NYC resident didn’t send a house warming gift.

Cardi B took to Twitter to show fans the spooky present Penn Badgley sent her on November 4. The box had a very insightful note signed by Badgley’s stalker/serial killer persona, Joe Goldberg, alongside a hat with a logo that read Goldberg’s famous line “Hello, You…”. Such a brilliant way to end Spook-tober…

“My stalking and killing may make me a certified freak, seven days a week, but it also brought me to… you,” Badgely wrote in the note. “Cardi B, you have a way with social media. You’re meaningful. Substantive. I just like you. You’re authentic and nuanced…just as you are with your music. You keep me on my toes, the ones that are left, at least. You can’t be caged in, and it’s refreshing”

The note was written in the way serial killer Joe Goldberg narrates the life of his victims before stalking and killing them. It was also peppered with references from the show and Cardi’s iconic vocabulary.

Penn Badgeley bought his own apartment in Brooklyn quite above the asking price, on October 21. It seems like the two friends are going to be closer than ever!
