Kanye West Claims New Hacked Up Haircut Is A Britney Spears Tribute

Rapper, Kanye West, was sporting a new look recently, the rapper having taken a pair of clippers to his hair it would seem, the clippers edge, perhaps a tad too uneven, many would have assumed. Only it was while speaking to the press, that the rapper claimed it was all done for a purpose.

It was while he spoke to the Drink Champs podcast that he let everyone know just what was behind his new look as of late. He said:

“The phobia of mental health, that’s why I did this haircut. The declaration of insanity is a form of control… At first, I called it the Britney. Now they can call it the Ye.

The fact that my haircut and my [new] name came at the same time was something. This was harder than wearing the Trump hat because my image [is important]. I’m fly and you know as a black man, your haircut means so much.

The rapper is of course referencing the incident in which Spears clipped off her blonde locks after leaving rehab and her ex, Kevin Federline wouldn’t allow her to see her children way back in 2007. Amazing that West would remember that far back. Although, West claims that this is performance art, his hair was already adjusted for the most part for the aforementioned interview.
