Boxer Ulysses Diaz, the fiancé of WWE superstar Dana Brooke, was arrested in Miami this week for battery after he struck an unknown victim in the face. The blow caused a sizeable laceration that person’s face.
WPLG has reported that the victim first posted something about Diaz online. Ulysses then showed up at his house and hit him. He was taken into police custody. Diaz was held on $5,000 bond.
The Cuban boxer hasn’t fought since 2019 but does have an impressive 12-1-0 record. He did have a brief stint as a bareknuckle fighter. He lost to former UFC star Thiago Alves in his most notable fight in the Barenuckle Fighting Championship.
Diaz became engaged to pro wrestler Dana Brooke in July. The couple has not made any statement regarding the incident or Diaz’ arrest. Brooke is an active member of the WWE main roster.
While he’s not fighting, Diaz co-hosts a podcast called Don’t Blink. Dana Brooke recently wrestled and lost to Shayna Baszler in the first round of WWE’s Queen’s Crown tournament, which culminated in Saudi Arabia.
Dana Brooke has not posted on her Twitter account since November 1. If she were to make a statement on the matter, it would likely come there or via her Instagram account. Depending how legal proceedings go, Diaz may address it on an episode of his podcast.
