Plenty of celebrities and other influential people have rolled up their sleeves and taken the COVID-19 vaccine. Now we can add a very famous bird to the list.

Big Bird is one of the first on Sesame Street to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Some might question this decision, but the Sesame Street mainstay isn’t taking any chances during the pandemic.

The 8-foot-tall bird broke his Twitter silence by sending out his first post since March. Today marked the day when Big Bird let the whole world that he knew just how to get to Sesame Street and get vaccinated.

“I got the COVID-19 vaccine today! My wing is feeling a little sore, but it’ll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy. Ms. @EricaRHill even said I’ve been getting vaccines since I was a little bird. I had no idea!”

No, there was no photographic evidence or video of Big Bird getting the needle. We have to trust him, because why would Big Bird lie to us? Seriously, this could help some kids out who might be on the fence about taking the vaccine themselves. After all, the CODVID-19 vaccine is very close to being recommnded for children as well.
