The Buffalo Bills (5-2) are set to go against the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6) today. While it is a highly anticipated match up between two NFL giants, one interesting detail was caught by many which was somehow related to the world of pro-wrestling.
Bills and Jaguars were participating in the pregame warm-ups, where Stefon Diggs, Bills’ wide-receiver, showed off rather unusual set of cleats. His shoes were golden in color. However, the key detail was them featuring a black-and-white AEW logo on their sides.
AEW President Tony Khan’s father is the owner of the Jaguars, so the detail is not too surprising. It is also a nice dig at the opposition. The AEW Twitter account also recognized the unexpected AEW featurette and seized the opportunity to comment on it.
Before taking on @AEW GM TonyKhan’s #Jacksonville @Jaguars, the @BuffaloBills @stefondiggs has arrived for pregame warm-ups with an interesting choice of cleats.
Tony Khan is a billionaire, so it’s not a secret to anyone that AEW would have an easy time finding branding opportunities. While AEW is on a road above, they need all the recognition they can get. With finding a little featurette in the NFL, AEW is sure to break even into new territory.
