Another person who attended the Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival concert is taking action against Live Nation Entertainment and NRG Park after the highly tragic event. 8 people died during the event and several were injured in the crowd crush.
The lawsuit was filed by Cristian Guzman’s lawyer in Harris County District Court. According to Rolling Stone, he petitioned the court to prevent Live Nation Entertainment from “damaging, modifying, altering, selling or disposing of any evidence of negligence at NRG Park during the Astroworld Fest 2021 on the night of Nov. 5 and the morning of Nov.6, 2021” via a restraining order.
Guzman is also seeking more than $1 million in damages. He’s alleging that among other things, Live Nation and the rest of the defendants failed “to control and supervise the crowd at the event,” “to provide an adequate number of security personnel,” and “to prevent a stampede from occurring.”
Guzman said that he was pushed to the ground and trampled during the Astroworld concert on Friday. He alleged that he sustained a significant back injury due to this.
This lawsuit comes following the first one from Manuel Souza who received injuries at the festival too. Travis Scott has received a lot of heat from fans as he continued his performance even though fans were asking for it to be stopped due to the chaos.
